When you die

When you die what do you want to happen to your body?

I think it'd be cool to be sent out in a torpedo into space kind of like they did to Spock in Star Trek. They did it to a few other people as well. Then you can float around and wait to become someone's anthropological specimen when humans have evolved into a new species.

Least costly option.... so I guess spreading ashes? I don't care to spend $10 grand on a stupid ass casket to hold a corpse as well as renting out a spot to lay it. Seems incredibly stupid IMO. I am just another human, of no real significance. Having relatives waste money on burying me just seems selfish and stupid.

I'd be fine with cremation but don't really care. Heck I would not really mind if my body was just used for medical research or something, is that something you can actually sign up for like organ donation?

When I die, I hope some doctor wannabe can practice on my corpse to better learn their craft before they try it on real living person.

cremation or donating to science/education. no use for my body when i'm dead, and taking up space in the ground seems kind of pointless.

Whatever is absolutely the cheapest. Unfortunately it is illegal to burn me with someone else, so no 2 for 1 special.

I don't give a crap. It's just my flesh. I cease to exist entirely.

But I understand life is not about yourself always. I guess it's for children, family & friends for their mourning.

Cremation would be nice. They can go visit that spot together. Turns out there's a very STRICT and thorough regulation against sprinkling ashes anywhere.

Yeah I read something about Pope buddy saying its bad to spread ashes. Then something about Irish Catholics staggered on to the streets to yell at Pope buddy because that's stupid.

Wow that seems INCREDIBLY stupid. What is the logic and reasoning behind those rules? I mean, I'm sure it's not the healthiest to inhale ashes thrown on people... but sprinkling off a mountain, cliff, etc... or something?

It's an equivalency of dirt and ashes. Screw off trying to dictate where and what I should do with them.

Ask the Pope. It is his thing.

I can kind of understand because you gotta worry about it on a macro basis.

Sure scattering from a top of a mountain may be harmless. But what if there's a popular spot (due to a vista / pop culture / movie / you name it) and tons end up wanting to scatter at that location? What if your private home was just a 20 yards away from it?

Also not all of human populations are 'technical' minded like us in ATOT. People don't want other people's dead bone dust freakin' blowing in their face / yard / home etc. All sorts of stigma and mystique associated with it come with it.

I don't want people scattering crap on a public beach. And ofc not on my private beach either.

It makes sense to have regulations.
