When you "back-up" your movies do you keep the menus, extras, etc?

If the whole thing fits on a single layer, I keep the menus etc.

Otherwise just the movies and a single 5.1 track.

Unless I can back up everything with 100% quality on one single layer DVD, no.

I typically re-author with just the main movie + one audio track (DTS if available, or DD).

What is the advantage of using single layer over dual layer?

single layer = 4.7 gigs....very cheap these days

dual layer = 9.4 gigs....hella expensive

Dual Layer DVD recording available for your PC today is only 8.5GB
