can't resize chat??? what are you talking about?
That is right. In AIM, open a chat window where you can have like 5 people in the room and try vertically resize the reply box. It stays a fixed height no matter what.

Exactly, I don't care about storing old logs, sometimes I accidently close a window. A typical scenario would be that I ask a question to someone who does not answer until 10 hours later. Apparently they were away from the PC, Think I keep the window open for 10 hours? Absolutely not.

they finally added voice chat after everyone and their mother had it. AOL finally noticed that all other messengers left them in the dust
They were under a judge's order not to do it. It was that whole "You have a monopoly" kind of thing. Now that MS has settled with AOL last year, and the MSN and Yahoo clients have increased significantly in customer usage numbers, they're now allowed to do A/V...trust me, they wanted to do this years ago.

AIM sucks. I finally got everyone to use MSN and now I never touch AIM. Maybe some addons to AIM would make it better but I certainly did not like the official software.

out of curiousity, what in so bad about AOL vs MSN? What exactly do you use?
Probably the biggest thing I hated about AIM was that you couldn't resize the chat boxes. It isn't a bad service but I just didn't like the software. There were other things about it that I didn't like. MSN is a lot cleaner. I think AOL will finally do it to AIM one say, they finally added voice chat after everyone and their mother had it. AOL finally noticed that all other messengers left them in the dust.

haha i was thinking the same exact thing

He's talking about group chatting.. i never used that, so i didn't know... or i've used it once probably. you can't do shift enter in there either.. at least w/ 5.2.x... I refuse to use 5.5... they screwed w/ how the sound settings work.

I use AIM+ still (and an old version of AIM...the new versions suck ass)

I read awhile back about AIM+ having spyware...is it clean now?

It never did, but it's not updated anymore.

The developer's wouldn't release the version that supported AIM 5+ because they received some sort of threats~ Who know.
