You post a question about subscriber speed..you get the obvious answer that the forums are significantly faster...but you still nef that you can tweak your IE to run the forums faster...why did you post this thread anyway? to prove to us that you can use computers

jcuadrado well i was just saying there is a way around the slow speed if you want faster speed by tweaking IE. Its not the best way but if you do not care about the little pictures then its not bad. Sense you will still see the text. I am sure becoming a subscriber makes the forum still faster.

You don't even have to do that. Go into CUSTOMIZE and you can choose between ENHANCED and STANDARD mode for the forums. This takes cares of all images including smilies and images that act as reply, quote, etc. buttons.

It makes a bit of difference, and I'm not going to pay for a discussion forum... so it's good enough for me. It's not like the money is going to a "good" cause for something in this world anyway. ;)

well, well, that little video is actually a pretty good representation. Now we just need to make one of the non-subscribers and make it a side-by-side.

ChefJoe exactly. But i have the anandtech forum setup with it only taking 1 sec to 2 secs and being able to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.

I just subscribed a minute ago because of some of the responses in this thread, and the difference is night and day. It flat out flies.
