I saw that it said this when you are a anandtech subscriber. Dedicated Server Access with improved performance (significantly more bandwidth offered to subscribers for faster access). Is this just on the anandtech forums or the website too? Guessing its only on the forum. Also i mean how much faster is it and how many bandwidth is dedicated to each user? I wish there was a way to feel the difference in speed. I am a speed freak if you can notice.

the difference is unreal. Viper GTS has a short vid that shows the speed, he will probably come in and link to it, or just PM him for it. i was skeptical at first, but after i paid i was amazed. just like any other site on the web on my cable modem...quick, just like that.

vipergts made example videos of the speed difference. I didnt watch them but Im sure I can imagine them-the difference is absolutely night and day. When my subscrip lapsed and I had trouble renewing I just had regular access, and sometimes (even with my cable) page loads would take 30-45 seconds for thread listings. Opening a thread with more than 50 replies would take a couple minutes.

Now that I renewed its back to what I remember-lightning fast page loads no matter what.

Lucky well it use to be like that for me but ever sense they added Anandtech subscriber based thing its not. Why did they change it? I remember those days. I do not come to Anandtech forums as much sorta sense sometimes it can be too slow. I go to the faster forums instead on the internet. But i still come to Anandtech forums just not as much.

If you don't visit the AT forums that much it really isn't cost effective to become a member. Unless you didn't come here because it was slow, in that case it's definitely worth getting a subscription.

The speed increase is unreal, it cost me a whopping $2.50 per month, well worth it.

Considering the amount of time alot of us spend on the forums, regardless of if you're someone like me who just basically reads the posts, or someone who posts alot. You'll see a huge difference, and it's so much nicer without the ads, I dont feel the victim of corporate marketing.

Well I just tried forums1 and it feels faster than others.

Still nowhere near subscriber, though.

But that's ok.

Before I subscribed, slow load times, minutes to load a page (with .edu connection). Now that I've subscribed and have a fair cable modem connection, the page loads about as fast as I can scroll down.
