V Vampirtc Junior Member Feb 15, 2007 6 0 0 Feb 15, 2007 #5 Thanks, 22nd April which means May to actually happen. I wonder if AMD is a better bang for buck atm: AMD X2 5400+ is 240? AMD X2 5200+ is 194? while C2D 6400 is 199? C2D 6600 is 280? especially since C2D is getting more expensive while AMD had a huge price cut. Though since I worry about heat I would prefer C2D.

You could even get the 6400 and OC the crap out of it and whoop the AMD offerings: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2802&p=10
