This episode was pretty awesome. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not seeing where they made any budget cuts. I guess that is the beauty of a show such as Top Gear--they're all just mucking about one way or another, the possibilities of them having fun are endless!

The Lamborghini bit was awesome, as was the Bugatti vs. McLaren.

I was laughing quite a bit this episode... especially when James is pulling up to the house all quietly and ... BUMPA BUMPA BUMPA!

I think they're starting to put the cuties up front now 😛. I definitely remember seeing a few right there in the middle of the shots.

I also went through and looked up that Grindr app on iTunes to see if it was real... it actually is :Q! I'd be afraid to use that to joke around with like Clarkson inferred.. I mean, what if you turn it on and it says "Closest is... right behind you!" :shocked:

I was on it as soon as it was released (the FinalGear one, anyway), and it didn't take more than two hours, never does.

Regarding the episode, I lol'ed a few times (which I don't typically do), loved the Lamborghini - but wanted to see more McLaren (would have LOVED to see an 'official' hot lap). Guess I can't complain, though, as seeing it anywhere these days is rare enough.

This was on the most hilerious episodes I have seen to date.

The folks over at finalgear are complaining that the turbos on the Veyron were less efficient due to the heat. Had they been raced in a cooler climate, the Veyron would have dominated even more. Of course, Top Gear has in interest in seeing the "British" car win...even though it too is powered by a German engine.

They always try to pre-position the hotties up front.

I totally loved the office scenes...watching The Stig photocopy his head, etc. The teeth whitener on Hammond's desk.

Yeah, something I sort of miss is the localization of engines and the ingenuity of each particular national car.

Aston Martin's engines for example are all built in Germany, so are Lamborghini's, etc.

I think the only exception is Ferrari and Maserati, but even then, I could be wrong.

Yeah, that was fucking awesome. I love how the British make a big theater out of everything.

The hotties were in swarms though, that tan chick around 16:35 behind Hammond is dank.

I actually didn't notice half of those funnies in the office scene either... my friend told me about one thing I didn't notice either...

It was privately owned and in Abu Dhabi, with the cut backs they probably couldn't have afforded to have it shipped to the TG studios and back... it's worth 2 million pounds. The insurance companies would have laughed at them...

If they had put the Veryon in top speed mode it would have helped too...
 
Trailer seemed to indicate we are finally going to see a power lap from the ZR1 as well. Was a brief clip of it racing an R8, presumably the V10 version, on the TG track.

I doubt the handicaps the Veryon were given were oversights or accidental. A somewhat close race initially makes for better TV than the Veyron just dusting the F1 off the line and leaving it for dead the rest of the race. I'm sure that wasn't a cheap race to organize, would make sense to try and make it as interesting as possible.
 
I am very interested in seeing how the R8 V10 and Corvette compete. Nature would have the Corvette completely pwn the R8, but we'll see what happens.
 
Epically awesome episode today, this season has been leagues ahead the last one, imo. Truly awesome.


I can't wait for the episode with Madison Welch. 😀
