I know I would buy music videos of my favorite artists if I was able to dl their music video like you do with MP3's. I think it would be a hit if someone were to come out with it.

You know you can download videos from Youtube right? There's tons of apps for that.

I know the Xbox/Zune Marketplace has music videos, I've downloaded about a dozen or so in the past. Their library isn't that large, though.

I would happily pay $3-5 for downloadable, DRM-free, decent bit-rate 1080p music videos from my favorite artists.

Amazon.com, are you listening? :colbert:

Really? You'd pay ~$1 a minute for a video?

Yeah, I would. I like watching music videos and I like playing them on my TV during a party, or when I have guests over.

Having an official, high-quality release would be worth it to me, especially if they're DRM-free. How much do you think a music video should be worth?

I don't know. I'm not the best judge since I'm not a big fan of video in general(TV, movies, music...). I think $1 is a good ballpark price. That's assuming a standard 4 minute song. If it's a 20 minute epic, it's worth more.

Isn't a song by itself $1?

what is DRM?

Digital Rights Management

Basically restrictions on software in order to combat piracy

Yup, and they're overpriced at that. That's assuming a typical pop song. Some songs are worth more than $1, but they come from albums that have 4 songs or fewer :^D

I used to have an Emusic subscription, and I was paying 20¢ per song. I felt bad sometimes when I got a 30 minute song for that, but when you get down to it, a lot of people made money from me that otherwise wouldn't have. I'm not willing to gamble on new music at $1 per song, but if I can get album for $2, I'll take a chance.

I believe we will have video downloading capability sometime around 1997.

Can't you snatch 1080 music videos off the vevo channels for some artists?

Wow your parties must suck.

I wouldn't pay that much for a music video ever.
