Not this year. They've been sucking the past few years, and this seems to be a really bad one. I'm a Blue Jays fan, and it surprised the hell out of me when I found out they are second place in the division to the Sox. Not much of an achievement though considering the rest of the division sucks.

Is Arod going to sign? KO on the DP show has been saying he's leaving NY for the past two days.

Bwahahahahaaha.......all you Yankee fans are seriously deluded to a point where it's starting to get pathetic. You guys don't have the 1978 Yankee team in 2007. You realize that, right? Your pitching is seriously, SERIOUSLY flawed.

Compared to the Red Sox rotation of Beckett, Schilling, Matsuzaka, and Wakefield, the Yankees rotation is a joke. How's that $28 mil relief pitcher working out? How are those two headcases Proctor and Farnsworth working out? Was bidding for Igawa worth it?

Wait, aren't the Yankees still paying Kevin Brown? Hahaahahahhaahah. Just wait til Lester is back and Tavarez isn't filling the 5th spot. Sorry but even with A-Rod hitting you guy's can't win.

Wang-Pettite-Clemens-Hughes-Mussina by the end of the year.

Admittedly old, each of those pitchers has the ability to win games against any team.

I am a diehard Yankee fan and Sox hater. I don't think the Yankees will win the division unless the Sox really crash and burn. But hey, anything is possible and I am not counting them out just yet.

like past years on end, thats what the Sox do... after the All Star break they just flop, we Sox fans have had our hearts broke year after year, only a matter of time.

Here we go again.
The good thing is when the Yankees pas the Redsox it will be that much closer to College and the NFL football starting up and it will help ease the pain.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but as one pundit once quipped, "the Red Sox are the only team in baseball that can be in first place at the All-star break and at the same time be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs".

Proud to be a Yankee fan in the 80's when they sucked.
Rickey, Windfield, Barfield, Claudell Washington, Tim Leary, Steve Farr, Scott Sanderson, Steve Trout, Joel Skinner, man they sucked. 🙂

Barfield was mid 1989. Remember that trade? Leiter for Barfield. Can't get much worse than that.

Anybody who thinks that Yankee fans are somehow more loyal never attended a game at Yankee stadium in the mid-late 80s.
