I, too, am a lifelong Yankees fan. But I can tell you that without a pitching staff, they will be lucky to play .500 ball this year.

True, but Carbo is at his most miserable best when his team is really bad. NY fans are usually pessimistic, but Carbo takes it to a new level. 😀

How are ya? It's been a while since I've been around these parts.
You think I'm pessimistic now? Wait 'til training camp begins in three weeks. I've got my sights on Tom Coughlin big time! 😉

Red Sox have 15 games vs. Tampa Bay in the 2nd half. The Yankees are not catching Boston for 1st.

Except when you became a yankee fan. 😀 Or maybe you're just the other 50%. Seriously... I wonder why there are so many Yankee fans in the world... how many of them are true fans ?
meh, 50/50. Why not the Mets ? I know family can contribute to a lot of people's decisions too. I wouldn't say 'most'. Born and raised too - Queens. Guess why my other half of the family are Yankee fans... yup... they won a lot more. While they're die-hard now, the reason they became Yankee fans in the first place... ugh.Originally posted by: moshquerade

Back in the 1980's when the Yankees were bad, there were a lot fewer Yankee fans & those that were rooting for them then are true fans ... 75% of the rest are front-runners who only jumped on the bandwagon when the team started winning wouldn't stick with them if they hit a down-period.

Rickey, Windfield, Barfield, Claudell Washington, Tim Leary, Steve Farr, Scott Sanderson, Steve Trout, Joel Skinner, man they sucked. 🙂
