I uninstalled Skyrim and then i clicked on install from the CD Pop up and its seems to be working now.

What you most likely did was activate the key on steam, which then prompted it to download the game for you.

Played 73 minutes. This game is amazing. It's what I was waiting for. Beautiful and fun RPG.

Sure I only have 73 minutes of playtime but for now i'm having a blast. It's one of those rare times when you expect so much from something and it delivers. Skyrim is this.

Many post around le internet point that the controls are weird on PC. It's true. But after 15-20 minutes you'll get the hang of it and enjoy even more the game.

One piece of advice: Go in the SkyrimPrefs.ini and change the following:

bTreesReceiveShadows=1 (stock at 0)
bDrawLandShadows=1 (stock at 0)
fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.015 (stock at 0.0125)
bMouseAcceleration=3 (stock at 1)

All it does is one, make the shadows on tress look really nice and 2 add some sensitivity on the mouse movement.

Change those settings both in the .ini file in the C\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Skyrim and C\users\yourname\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim

On my rig (see signature) I can't run the game on Ultra smooth enough for my taste. What I did was set AA and AF to x4 (Ultra sets is to 8xAA and 16xAF), turn off FXAA (was off anyways) and lowered to 12 Object Fade and Item Fade (was at max at 15) from the Advanced option menu. That's a little disappointing but it's still looking awesome. The fog on those mountains are simply gorgeous.

The ugliest thing in the game are shadows. Even on Ultra they look blocky and bad. It's a minor drawback though since I know i'm not gonna stare at shadows while I play, but sometimes, like in conversations, you'll notice it.

Bottom line, it looks like a fantastic game and worth your time and money if you're a fan of the franchise.

Agreed. Put in about 68 mins so far. Liking it a lot. Huge game its seems like right off the bat. Just standing on a cliff and viewing the distance is amazing.

They did right with this one.
