I love playing counter strike with a passion and now I can say that with a little more comfort knowing that its more enjoyable to play with those cheat prevention progs that the servers are using now. Anyhow cs is the only game I play... I run it at max resolution which is 1280 and when I type in the cl_showfps 1 command my FPS remains at 99 without any drops.. that makes me very happy :D

I guess I posted this because I was reading previews about the new GF4 (NV25). It only seems like last week I purchased my GF2 Ultra (I hate the damn market.. hehe sorta:p) I say to myself ... theres no game that will draw me away from cs... although I have said that with quake2 :)

Is there any game out there or any game in the future that I wont be able to run with this setup.

Perhaps Unreal II ... definately Doom 3 but that will take awhile to come out (another year +).

edit: I'm talkin about running it at high quality res/settings like 1024X768 X 32 bit

Just look at the benchmarks for the g4 ti 4600 and compare them to yours, then go buy a 4600 =).

Same here with my once kick ass Matrox G400 MAX! I think I'll have to get one of those GeForce4 cards pretty soon though - out of the last three recent games I've tried only one runs on my machine :(

Playing a game based on an engine that is several years old wont do it. Try RTCW!

Don't know if your a Nascar fan, but Nascar season 2002 seems to be bringing down alot of systems.

Hehehe, try Diablo 2! LOL I dont know what Blizzard (North) were thinking with that one - all previous Blizz games ran on Pentium 1's fine, now D2 crawls at certain instances, no matter what (especially @ 800X600) ... its not a video card limitation, or certainly not a CPU one, just bad, bad programming. So if you want your awesome system to choke on a game with mediocre graphics, give it a shot!

I dont know about RTCW. My system seems to be taking it fine. I play it in 1600x1200x32, 16-tap anisotropic filtering, 2x AA, and I think the framerates are fine. I have an athlon xp 1600 and a Hercules Prophet II PRO. Is there anyway to check the actual fps in RTCW?

Try Nascar 2002 Season at 1600x1200x32bit color with 4x FSAA enabled & everything maxed in graphic options.

Bring my system to its knees with low teens for fps.

So I run at 1600x1200x16bit color NO FSAA & average 35fps. ;(
