I figure between technolgy and religion, we wipe each other out before the end of the century.

Humanity is flawed. Unless we evolve quickly, I'd give us a few centuries before overpopulation and environmental destruction spell the end of this planet.

Save the world: Don't have children, or have just one! And damn the baby factory third world countries :|

Barring a global catastrophe resulting in the elimination of all or most all life, I see no reason to suspect that we will become extinct. We're on all continents, we're adaptable, we perservere.

We couldn't kill ourselves off if we tried.

Do you have any faith that mankind will branch out to other Solar Systems encompassing much of the galaxy and possibly further. Or not.

Do you believe Einstein, that light is indeed the limiting factor of speed. If so that will greatly hinder such aspirations.

Or do you believe Star Trek, where warp speed is the norm.

We may find a way to circumvent the lightspeed barrier, but however we do, it'll probably not be like Star Trek. Will we make it out into the galaxy? Who knows... But I hope we do.

Over 95% of all creatures to ever have existed are extinct. When Earth has all the plastic it needs it will allow us to join the 95%. Until then we must pump oil and make plastic... when the oil runs out we will run out unless as I stated earlier Earth gets its fill of the plastic it created us to generate.
