What does Canada have to gain by becoming a state?
Mexico is obvious, but Canada?
Greatness. Seems obvious to me. Why remain mediocre when they could become truly great?
Because we, the US, are awesome. Together, we're only slightly less awesome. That's a net gain of awsesome for CA. We'd have to come up with a state abbreviation. How about CX? As long as we don't annex the Christmas Islands, it's yours.
Well, keep your awesome. We don't want it.
Really, why? When you have your own to consider. 😉why the fuck would we Canadians want to assume your debt?

I think I would rather keep our ~$13,643 debt per capita than pickup your ~$40,300 per capita federal debt.

What does this have to do with hats? You're more able to afford them? All those rocks and trees could sure use some population to go along with them. There's an easy way to dilute your per capita debt: Count the moose and caribou that exclusively populate the larger territories. Give them RCMP hats and no one will notice the fraud.
