When will be the next IPod price reduction?

Off another forum I go to. He was complaining how his roommate left and left a lot of junk and there was a iPod in there. He just wanted enough for shipping, figured I might as well risk it for $5, plus I got a lot of his info (college websites are great for that). So now I have a slightly scratched up 5GB iPod I got for $5 but no firewire port except on my G3 which is at my gf's place and no firewire cable since local places want $20 for one.

To tell the truth I was expecting to be scammed but was pleasantly surpised.


But going back to the original topic: I don't see them doing a significant price reduction anytime soon, they just came out with the mini iPod which is only $50 cheaper than the cheapest iPod for less than half the space. They probably wouldn't want to hurt it's sales.

Until the prices on the 1.8in HD's come down, I don't see the price of the iPod coming down.
