When will 9500 Pros hit $125ish?

I dont think that they will, i think that ATI are slowly phasing them out, and replacing them with the 9600s.
 
eventually you will be able to pick up anything out there for $1 or for free. but that will be many years. i mean how many former $200 ISA cards from the 1980s have you crushed for fun? i used a $300 486, and made a ring the other day

you might be able to get a used one for 125, but the sub 150 market is dominated by the 4200.
 
Yeah, I was aware they were getting phased out but I was hoping they would hit $125 soon with the 9600 out. wishful thinking
 
They'll probably hit $150 range before being totally phazed-out, but will more than likely be a total thing of the past before being available for $125 new/OEM. The used market will no doubt spring a few up within that price range here in a month or two.
 
You'll see a 9600P at $125 before you see a 9500P there, simply because the former are cheaper to produce, and the latter perform better.

Here in the UK some 9500 Pro`s are no longer available depending on the site you go to, if you want a 9500 Pro I would buy one now or if you need to wait then consider the 9600,since in the near future the 9500 Pro will be phased out .
 

Unless Nvidia deliver big volumn on 5900/5600 chip based video card.
There are news regarding ATI Radeon 9500/9700 video chip in shortage in the last few months.
Basically there is almost no competition in $150-$300 range video card. Nvidia NV30/NV31 chip based
card doesn't have any volumn.
ATI gave chip allocation priority to big OEM, such as DELL and HP. I don't know how much DELL has to pay for each
9500Pro/9700 from ATI

 
Will there stil be the R300 based cards in mid-July?
I'm looking to get a 9500Pro or 9700 non-pro around that time, they'd better have some left.
Any chances of a price drop to try and clear the old stocks?
 
There is an upside to the 9500 pro phaseout - those 8 pipeline open chips can be used as 9700s on the right PCB, so there may be cheaper 9700s in the future, like the $199 deal from Newegg a week ago. It would make sense - the 9600/9600 Pro could cover the $100-150 range and the 9700 non-pro would cover the $200 range. The 9600/FX5200 and 9700/FX5600 matchups in comparable price ranges would clearly give ATI the edge.
 
Yeah.. I just bought one from Circuit City at full price because I couldn't find them in stock anywhere. I finally buy a 9500 PRO and now everyone is telling me to return it and buy the 9700 non pro instead for $220. Is this good advice?

I think some vendors are still making them.. like a few that still making GF3 ti200's....
or.. maybe it will hit 125ish when ATI has released Radeon 10000

You mean Radeon 10700. 😛:beer: I'd say the best deal would be the Radeon 9700 Pros that I've seen in Best Buy recently. These returned cards run at 259..which isn't bad..
 
I was just pricing out new parts for the PC I wanted to build last week. I had the 9500 Pro in my sights. I try to find it today and its gone. I checked Newegg, GoogleGear, Buyxg (Xtreme Gear)....nothing. I'm pissed.
Couldn't they keep the 9500 Pros for just a little bit longer??
Looks like I'm going to have to dish out more money for the 9700. :frown:

IMO definately yes. Excellent advice. Games are getting harder to drive, especially if you like high detail.
