When will 4 gb of memory be recommended for PC games?

Right now.

When you can get 2x1GB for $20 AR if you look carefully, why not get 4GB? Even if you're using a 32-bit OS, you may as well max out your usable amount right now, with how cheap RAM is.
 
If you plan to play games like age of conan with vista 64 bit you might need it now, the minimum requirement specs for aoc are 1gig for 32 bit and 2 gig for 64 bit right? So I would not be surprised if you used 4gig with 64 bit vista on age of conan.

Whoa. I need to check out the specs for age of conan didn't even realize a game required a minimum of 2 GB of ram now, at least on Vista that is.

So far AoC has peaked at 1.8gb's of memory usage with 64 bit Vista with max setting

Wow seems to be helpful to have 4 GB to have some breathing room.
