My pants are swelling. How good is it?

It was pretty kickass. Super smooth and the graphics/sound were great. Plus you get the added bonus of reverberations through the chair and crap like that. I really sucked ass at it, but it was super fun.

There was a cool battle mode thing too where you can play up to 4 vs. 4 with different roles. Again, I sucked, but it was even fun to watch.

It's pretty different than playing it at home, but I'd highly recommend trying it if you ever see one.

I imagine arcades arent nearly as cool as they once were, since better games can be played at home. Dave & Busters a few years ago was my last experience, which is a blast for an adult. Drink beer and play arcade games....how fucking cool is that??

i was at d&b just a couple of months ago, played some time crisis 3 and 4. man tc4 is hard has hell, they deviated too much from the classic shooting games. tc2 was the best.

when i lived in Salem OR i used to spend a lot of time at a place called Wonderland. it was something like $1.35 to get and all games were a nickel or 2.

i loved that place.

I was at d&b during spring break (march), and I think a few weeks later I went to Boomers. During spring break I went to the Sony Metreon too... yeah. I played a lot of DDR.

Oh man, that sounds kick ass. You said you saw it in Japan? Damn. I hope some arcade in the US has it.

I went out to my garage just yesterday. :p

Of course, it's just Asteroids, Gorf, an Air Hockey table and a Beer Fridge, but...

Never saw it up here in Canada, but maybe they have it down South. It's a different game overall, but it still has all of the same HL2 sight and sounds which was super cool.

Man, this thread makes me want to hit the arcade and play some old school Street Fighter 2.

I can beat TC4, but I need $2 to beat it (50 cents to start, and 25 cents to continue..so I continue 6 times? damn lol) The bosses aren't hard, but I hate the "Terabites (?)" (haha :p)

I go to my campus's arcade all the time. I play Third Strike and Guilty Gear competitively and playing in the arcade with people who are good is the only way to go :D

Unfortunately, in NV.

I'm actually using the Asteroids machine as a piggy bank. I've got it set to take quarters, but I keep it unlocked, so I can just grab a handful of quarters and have at it again.

Yesterday.

The local mall just has a stand alone arcade. It has mostly older games such as Soul Calibur, Area 51, Dead or Alive, Mario racing.

Also standard games such as basketball, air hockey, crane to pick up toys, pinballs,

There are some newer games such as Deal or No Deal

One thing I like about this one is it uses quarters and not the stupid coins so if you don't use them quarters up, you can use them elsewhere. Good prices too. Most games are $0.25 to start. I was able to beat Soul Calibur for less than $1.

I have been to GameWorks before <the one in Dallas area>. It was ok.

Nowadays arcade games focus more on physical interactivity - the Harley game where you sit on a motorcycle, racing games where you sit in a car that tilts, skiing/snowboarding games, I've even seen a hang gliding game.
