never... more or less. i have a c1987 ibm model m at home, and had a 1994 M for lan party use. i brought the 1994 with me to college and that is what im using. we got these keyboards with IBM systems way-back-when :)

I currently only have 1 model M (its been converted to Dvorak) ... But I ordered 3 more since I found a halfway decent price (about $46 shipped for the three of them on an egay buyitnow ... most shops are charging20-30 each for used ones (if you can find them at all) ... they are getting harder and harder to find .. and more and more expensive ... I figure this one will probably last at least another 10+ years ... but it would be nice to have a true model M for my linux box as its got an old AT "Chicony electronics" brand keyboard. It would also be nice to have a backup, just in case.

The one I have I ripped off of an old 486 DX 33 ... and the beige is faded to yellow. Its a bit lighter than the Model M, but on the plus side ... it is a decent "clicky" keyboard.

I also don't reallly like how the keycaps are not as easily removed as on the good ole Model M

almost 4 years now, still using my ibm rapid access II keyboard. still works like new! :)
