when was the last time you burned an audio CD?

Last year, late November or early December. My car does mp3s on CD, so I can put all of my favorite artist's albums on one CD. Perfect for the afternoon commute. 🙂

I don't feel like connecting/disconnecting my phone every time I get into/exit my car, so I burn a CD with a bunch of MP3s every once in a while and just leave it in there.

Two weeks ago ... I enjoy making compilation mixes. Made a 311 and Incubus mix CD this year already.

geez... couldn't even tell you the last time I burned a dvd. I've got a few spindles that I should probably just trash at this point.

it's too small to use for backups anymore and I've got no use for burning DVD movies when I can either stream files off my NAS at home or watch Netflix on the road.

that's when I use the radio.

short drive (eg: driving to the grocery store, across town to grab food, etc) = radio

long drive (work, road trip) = plug in my cellphone and listen to a podcast or MP3's

I actually thought about this yesterday. It's been a really long time since I've burned anything to disc. I have a DVD-RW drive that I've used one time, and that was to install Windows. Otherwise it and optical media in general can go the way of the floppy for all I care.

A couple months ago, back when I had a car with just a CD player. Now that I have a car with Aux-In and a USB connector, there's not much point to an audio CD.

Actual CD-audio (44.1kHz WAV)? Maybe 2003? That was almost entirely for use in my car.
It was around that time that I got a CD-MP3 player for the car, so I was still burning discs now and then, but they were full of MP3s.

Then sometime around 2007 I got an audio deck with a USB port.

Probably 3 years or so. Blue Tooth phones to vehicle stereos is an amazing technology. I don't know that I could live w/o it now.

For me probably about 4 months ago. My car has no aux jack but I have a CD/Cassette player

that looks exactly like this

I occasionally use my smartphone with a cassette adapter to listen to music
Lately I have been lazy and just playing the same CD over and over again :whiste:

Now if somebody made a cassette to bluetooth adapter I would like that
or a cheap bluetooth receiver with a 3.5MM output

Must have been at least 5 years ago.

In fact I can't remember the last time I burnt a CD or DVD of any type. I used to buy a stack of them every couple of months then suddenly I stopped using them.

An A2DP Bluetooth cassette adapter was announced years ago but was never made available. 🙁 There are plenty of HFP/HSP Bluetooth cassette adapters though.

About two months ago, made a Johnny Cash compilation. I used CDBurnerXP just because it's so easy but normally I still use EAC for audio CD's and ripping.

Never burned an audio cd. I hear it's possible. heh

I have this thing called an "mp3 player."

1) not all cars have aux jacks
2) its illigal to drive with headphones in

ive had an mp3 player for over a decade, still have to burn CDs for my car

I am tempted to burn one every time my daughter buys a Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus CD.

Wait, we are talking about actual burning right, like with fire?
