When was the last time something good resulted from a major corporate merger?

The only one I can think of is Renault and Nissan, but that was more of an alliance than a merger.

I think the Daimler Benz + Chrysler merger wasn't too bad.
The 300m and 300 are some of the results from that merger.

Good for whom? "Something good" depends on one's perspective. I'm sure somebody profits or benefits from them, or they'd not happen. Might not be who we'd want to profit from them, but...
