What happens if Trump wins? Will the left start rioting like we did see with BLM protests in 2020? One of the possible outcomes is Trump getting the EC votes to become the 47th President of the US. Not happy about it, but I have to be realistic at this point. I though Harris would be building a bigger lead by now and that isn't happening. The polls could be BS but I hate to depend on that. Everyone has been building Trump up as a Fascist dictator and the end of US democracy if he is elected. Some of the same language is being used by the other side if Harris wins. Is violent resistance justified if Trump wins? Or if the Democrats lose in 2024 do they focus on 2026 and 2028?

I wouldn't anticipate a violent response if Trump wins through legitimate means (IE, clear victory through the EC). If it's awarded to him by SCOTUS or other monkey business... it gets murkier. But in all, it would probably depend on how things play out, if he actually deploys the NG, etc.

I'd be careful discussing politics with maga zealots. A lot of these people are literally frothing crazy, and even the fat old ones can carry guns, or take note of where you live. It's not like anything productive can possibly come from any discussion with them. My experience in maga-land has taught me that much. Not a one of them wants a reasonable discussion. They want a clay pigeon they can vent their Fox-induced spleen on. Just stay neutral and far away from them. I do this at all my gigs, our audiences are mostly uneducated white older magas. The ones I talk to (regulars) are nice to me, but they have no clue about my politics and I wouldn't tell them if they asked.

I'm on FB for one thing, my neighborhood's page--it's useful and mostly stays completely away from politics. I'm still careful what I post there, and come to think of it my current avatar would get me marked by a couple of the Trump weirdos here...gonna change it before I post there again, which is rare anyway. One has been flying a black-covered upside down flag since 2020, and has an 8 foot Trump banner in his garage (which he leaves open of course). Fricking loon, and to complete the stereotype he's always out practicing kick boxing and mma in his driveway. Glad he's way around the block.
