Not so long ago conservatives would have been against the Hawk Tuah girl. Interesting now she is embraced.

I like to remind them that their diaper wearing, dementia riddled insurrectionist is "a big no" for Hailey Welch.

No hawk tuah for magats I'm guessing, which has been a national theme since idk, 2016 or so?

When Trump loses in a few weeks, it is a certainty he will get on his minor social site and call for violence by his supporters.

We know he is going to go into an ALL CAPS rage on his failing truth social, and will call for his cult to rise up against election boards, secretaries of state in individual states, and anyone else he can think to blame.

Where does his "free speech" to call for an armed uprising stop? There are laws...

I'm sure there are agencies that could immediately shut down truth social, his most likely megaphone to call for violence, as soon as he makes the call. If it kept his fat ass out of prison, he really doesn't care how many people die to accomplish that end.

Would it even matter how badly he loses, winning only a handful of fly over states, he will be screaming about how he won, and the democrats cheat.

The first week in November is going to be interesting, and I suspect a very black mark on the country's history.
I agree with you completely, right down to the "red line". What I find dismaying is that the Trump Base can't conclude that he's a life-long criminal -- a felon -- who has somehow evaded conviction but for Judge Merchan and the findings of that particular jury.

They are confused. the justice system has an innate bias to protect the innocent at the expense of letting some criminals go free. And what the Supremes (appointed by Trump) have done, in concert with Aileen Cannon in her Florida courtroom, is a serious betrayal of Americans, their Constitution and the basic and established practice of Secular Law. In elections, ballots are secret. In a jury, the members can look across the table and in the eyes of adversaries and demand to know why a juror has dissented from the majority opinion.

These same folks have for many years completely ignored all of the blatantly obvious signs that directly points to Trump's inhumanity, his total lack of morals and ethics and his penchant for committing crimes with such ease, recklessness and utter contempt for the Rule of Law. And these are the very same folks who think they absolutely know what they're doing is what's best for the nation because party before country was and is their highest priority.
You're completely off base; the fact that Trump will murder and jail his enemies is why they love him. His base has no delusion about who he is. They want another Hitler.

First I am not so sure he loses, electoral college is rigged against democrats plus god knows what MAGA governors or congress critters will do.
I am very confident *if* he loses elected republicans will turn against him. He will be far too old to be a viable candidate and we and them all know he will never stop running for president he enjoys the cheers and attention too much. Hopefully the wise up and stop propping him up. That will finally allow consequences to the former presidents shitty and illegal behaviors.
If he loses he'll run again in 2028 if just to keep out of prison; it's his party. At this point the GOP base is a cult. Maybe you don't see it because you don't live in a red state but where I live I see Trump shirts, Trump hats, Trump flags, Trump bumper stickers EVERYWHERE.

I think if he loses again, there's a very real chance the GOP is ready to wash their hands of him. The base won't like that, but will eventually fall in line behind whoever the replacement is.

The GOP would have loved to wash their hands of him in 2016, in 2020, and so on. But they can't because the base loves him. The only way they wash their hands of him is when he dies. Until then the GOP is his party.

We've got some in my neighborhood. The first one that went up was a home-made Trump Vance sign, it has smaller handwriting underneath it, had to slow down to be able to read that it said "DO NOT STEAL THIS SIGN I HAVE CAMERAS" or something along those lines. I just chuckled at the paranoia. It's not well made.

The Republicans know they're on the losing side of history. They also know, as the popular vote data has shown, that they're also on the losing side of policy making because their policies exclusively favor the aristocrat class of the nation and the people who vote Red have been trained to ignore that glaring fact among all the other glaring facts that could be mentioned.

So knowing this, I agree that they have no other alternative that would allow them to seize control of the reins of power except to murder their "enemies" and/or force them into Gulag reeducation camps.

I'm also of the opinion that the MAGAts don't want a Hitler, what they really want is a white supremacist Kim Jong Un type along with the ways he treats anyone who he thinks will threaten his rule, his tender ego and that hoax bully boy image he's been hiding behind all his life.

They're not confused, they like that he's a criminal and a sociopath. A sane person wouldn't kill and jail their enemies, but Trump will. The Supreme Court didn't just give him immunity for 'official acts' for nothing.

Two choices in history for ending a gilded age. Guillotines or a wealth limiting top tax bracket with write offs to encourage spending and higher wages.

Their choice.

I'm not optimistic. I've planned a Turkey-Day visit to seem relatives, and we've all agreed to limit our conversations about politics. But I'd really feel better if Trump loses in the official popular vote count and the electoral college -- that he loses the election, and Jack Smith's prosecutions, in the courts of Chutkan and Cannon -- possibly with Cannon removed from the Florida case.

The other thing I've thought about recently is a situation with someone convicted of 34 felony counts allowed to run for office. Trump should've been disqualified for those convictions alone.

After the dust settles, there must be a legislative agenda to patch up our ;government and its safeguards. I don't see that happening easily unless the Democrats regain a majority in the House.

Otherwise, this might not anymore be the US of A that it was when I sat on a living-room floor in 1952 or 1953 and watched Douglas McArthur make his farewell speech to Congress. Lucky I was -- we had to have that RCA B/W TV repaired sometimes once every two weeks until it was finally reliable.
