don't put water over it! I learned this the hard way. Almost burned down the house!

Just like the episode of Family Matters where Steve tries to cook a burger for Laura, and puts water over a grill (which I think is a no no).

I had a friend who almost burned down her appartment building doing that. Keep a box of soda and a fire extinguisher rated for grease fires handy just in case.

What do you think Halon extinguishers do?

Put a lid on top and starve the flame of oxygen. Anything will work, even side of a garbage can even though you'll ruin the garbage can.

Yep, inhale inside the house then run outside and exhale. Repeat until the fire goes out.

So what's better, kitchen fire or whole house imploding due to vacuum?

if you want to suck the oxygen outa your kitchen u can always toss a bag of flour at it🙂 massive boom then its snuffed out🙂
