When someone goes idle on AIM...

Yes, AIM can detect when a person is at their computer. Though, this technology reallly was not part of AIM til they merged with Time Warner. Time is the one that gave them the User Prescence Detection Algorithm (or UPDA) for short.

they also know if your last bathroom break was a 1 or a 2. they keep massive databases and sell your potty history to huge marketing corporations. you know that angel soft ad you saw in the paper this morning? your bachelor neighbor didn't get one. he got a Lysol ad instead. this was not random. it was meant to be this way to influence your buying choices based on your respective bathroom habits.

and don't get me started on what AIM knows about that incident with you and the goat. i'll just say this: if AOL-Time Warner even gets hard up for cash, don't surprised if you get blackmailed.

So much for the GF doing her final paper. 😕
