Anyone have a clue ? I can't wait, it supports Dual Proc's and lotsa other neat stuff, and thats a big "right on" !

Anyway, just curios, what do you guys think about it anyway ?

I looks nice.
The new start menu is kinda bad but you can change it back to the "normal" one.
I think its still in Beta 1 stage. Did Beta 2 come out yet?
It will probably come out sometime the end of 2001.
From what I have looked at and heard Whistler at the Beta 1 level is a lot like Windows 2000 and is very stable to be a beta.

as far as Dual Proc's go Win2000 does wonders with them now if you are looking to upgrade.

I was going to download beta 1, version 2296, but on a 56k modem, it does seem a chore.

End of summer for us...

Professional and Personal require a 233mhz cpu and 64 megs of ram.
Microsoft recommends a 300mhz cpu and 128 megs of ram.

sitting idle from the pics I saw Whistler Professional takes 92 to 95 megs of ram on a clean install. 🙁

I had beta1 running on my current rig listed below and I loved it!! I had to format and didnt have time to reinstall that and I kinda want W2K....but anyways!! I had bild 2296 I tink....not sure.
