When should I upgrade?

My current stats are this:

Athlon XP 2200+
ASUS A7V333
512MB PC2100 DDR
GeForce 4 Ti4400
Sound Blaster Audigy
WD 120GB Hard Drive
LO 40x CD-RW
LO 16x DVD

I have $700 at the moment and was wondering when I should upgrade. I know my computer is a scream machine, but I was just wanting to know if there are any definate things that I should (and you would) do to my computer right now or in the future to make it bigger/better/faster/stronger/meaner/etc. (I was thinking of getting the GeForce FX whenever it does make its appearance.)

Thanks.

You system is great as it is!

What is the specs of your monitor??

I guess if you have money to burn, then get a lappy 🙂

Leave your system as is. It's better than mine and I have no plans on upgrading. Save your cash for a complete rebuild in a year or so.

Your system is good. Maybe your peripherals could use an update. Monitors, speakers, keyboards, mice, etc. all will give you a lot of mileage. Save some of it so you can get yourself an entirely new system in about a year or two. =)

Wait 6 months...a lot of new stuff is coming down the pike. More choices and lower prices.

you will NEVER have to upgrade that system. give the 700 to me while there is still time left!

that system is very similar to mine. i do not plan to upgrade until the hammer or new pentiums(if there is any coming up), newer motherboards, and next ati card come out.
it'll probably be around may. How about u get yourself a nice new chair, i am 😉

Actually, I'm fine with the chair I got right now. It's top of the line and has the newest most solid drivers yet. The wood chips in this thing are amazing? Have you seen the benchmarks?

Seriously though, what is the best heatsink/fan out right now? I want a better one than the Alpha 8045 that I'm using right now.
