Nearly every night he says "we are in the biggest period of economic growth in 50 years" - which he says nearly every night - what in the H is he talking about?

He pulls crap out of his ass. He works for RNC-TV after all. He is probably talking about one month of GNP growth, which of course lasted all of one month.

God knows I am no economist, but the fact of the matter is that one can nearly always find SOME economic metric that looks very good, at the expense of one or more others. I have no idea what he's specifically pointing to - it seems to me we are experiencing modest growth after a moderate recession, while accumulating unprecedented amounts of debt and deficits along the way.

He also says Kerry voted eleventy-billion times to raise taxes and supported the $0.50/gallon gas tax.

Hannity is a buffoon and should be treated with the same credibility as the Weekly World News.

I agree Conjur, but the guy is on TV and the Radio everyday with millions of people listening, and, much like Ruch, he isn't held accountable for any of this spew....If he's got some economic reports to back up this particular claim I'd love to see it

FOX News on its best day still gets only about half the viewers as CBS on its worst day.

And Hannity on the radio is merely preaching to the choir or to people who despise him and want to get on the air to attack him.

the .50 cent gas tax is just a step

gas should be up in the 5-7 dollar range. we have to force conservation on people, they won't simply do it themselves. at least itll force most people to abandon those gluttonous SUVs.

And what about the impact on the rest of the economy with higher fuel prices.

Do you expect that the pols will use the fuel tax for benifical purposes.

NO!!

Just look at the airline FAA tax trust fund.

Word. I've listened to Hannity quite a bit lately and he's got to be one of the most pompous blowhards right next to Limbaugh. His callers are the ultimate sycophants -- all they do is call up and praise Hannity on what a "great American" he is and they both proceed to circle jerk. It's quite laughable.
