When posting Youtube links, can/should we require SOME description?

...at least in certain forums (outside OT, maybe?), about what the hell the link/video actually is and what relevance it has to the conversation? Sort of like how in P&N you're required to post some commentary when starting a new thread and linking to an article.

It's getting kind of annoying having certain posters post nothing but a hyperlink to a Youtube video, often several in one thread. that may or may not have anything to do with the topic at hand.

I guess the rebuttal could be "Well don't click on it then...", but if you're reading the thread in the first place, you're probably interested enough to want to see all relevant info, without having to cross your fingers the link you're clicking isn't a waste of time. Again, nothing major, but at least SOMETHING telling us what the channel/uploader is, and a brief description of the content.

Please consider it!

Good luck enforcing it.

It doesn't seem to be that hard enforcing the "commentary after posting a thread" rule in p&n. This isn't that much different, just some reminders and I think people would start to catch on.
