When moving to Vbulletin will there be a rep system?

It gives people a way to be dicks to eachother anonymously, many other forums have a rep system and most of those forums suck. So will AT have one?
 
Fusetalk had something like that for years. It was disabled though because people exploited a bug and gave others ratings of large negative numbers.

I remember that. My rating is froze at ~5/10. I don't think a rep system makes a difference one way or the other, although constantly seeing rep requests could get tedious after a while.
 
I like the idea. But it'll only work as long as it doesn't get abused. And I don't think we can keep/monitor that kind of abuse around here. Too many skilled & technically competent members linger in our forums. :roll:
 
Rep systems are more significant on big forums, then small ones, so I think it would be a great idea.

If it gets abused somehow, then action can be taken at that point, like changing how it works, or something.

I hate rep systems, they form cliques. Cliques are great in real life, you can hang around with people you like and exclude the ones you dont but theyre just stupid on the internet.
 
boo... Rep should not be enabled... those who have been here for years, and were helpful then wont be able to be properly repped
