Seems to be coordinated Enemy attacks and we're getting our butts kicked.
Where is our Heavy duty stuff???

Where is the cruise Missiles?

Dropping mustard gas bombs and machine-gunning villages from the air- does that seem familiar somehow?
The Ottoman Turks who previously ruled the region were no less ruthless, they just didn't have the same technology...
Perhaps the systematic obliteration of cities engaging in insurrection, as was done by Hitler in WW2, or Genghis Khan a long time before, or by any other number of tyrants throughout history...
