When is the next Coldplay album being released?

Uh I'm definately not an Ozzy fan, but the man was putting out REAL music (check Black Sabbath and early Ozzy) before those kids were probably even born.

Hahaha thats awesome. Coldplay isn't really comparable to ozzy, but I would rather listen to coldplay than ozzy anyday.

Apparently you don't read very well for your age. I said I?m not a fan of Ozzy, but I realize his contribution to music is far and beyond greater than any Top 40 Radiohead wanna be band like ColdPlay is. I'm in my mid 20's and I don't like Ozzy. So basically you're whole argument is lame from the start.

The problem is you start a thread asking about your music while saying "don't knock mine cause yours already sucks". What sort of ass backwards thinking is that. Leave it to a canuck.

I know that their record company is ssressing them for a Christmas release, but i dont know if they will follow through.

Stop bashing music. Just because you bash them does not mean they are junk and just because they hit the top 40 does not mean they are a loss. I used to bash other people's music all the time when they bashed mine, but as you grow up, you feel crunchy because the music you bash you bash appearently becomes the music you like, even if you dont realize it. You can have your opinions, but dont act like its always right.

Chris Martin says Coldplay have ditched more than 40 songs as they start work on their new album.

Martin says the band are already writing and recording material for the follow-up to A Rush Of Blood To The Head.

But he said their biggest achievement on the project so far has been scrapping songs that were not up to scratch.

Martin told NME.com: "So far all we've achieved is managing to scrap 42 songs. I regard that as constructive destruction.

"But numbers are insignificant. You could say: "I've written 12 songs" and they're all rubbish, or you could say you've written one song and it could be Bohemian Rhapsody."

Martin said that a typical day in the studio at this early stage was "hectic and emotional", and that Coldplay were still struggling with what they consider quality.

"It strikes me the more fame and success you get, the more you realise that the only thing that's really worth anything is the thing that made you want to get famous and successful in the first place.

"And that is writing tunes. The answer is putting down your favourite new song or being with the people you love the most. It's not about the bling bling aspect. We've got some tunes man, let me tell you that!"

Coldplay's new album is not due before the end of 2004 but is already being billed as one of the most hotly anticipated British releases in years.

The new DVD set is nice filler before their next album; but to be realistic there's no way in hell they'd put out another album before Christmas for a number of reasons. First its too soon; second Rush is still selling like mad.

Late 2004 seems reasonable though.

He's trashing a legend in the music industry for some new trendy band. He can sit around and say Ozzy sucks, but what he's done for Metal with BlackSabbath and the Ozzy has transcended generations compared to a band with 2 album.
