When is the next bump in wireless speed coming?

I am not a current wireless user, but right now is .g at 54 mbps, isn't there a .n about to happen? I am about to buy my first wireless devices and wondering.

N is the next standard and some routers are coming out, but one of the arguments being brought up on the forums so far is the ACTUAL performance. Where these are only giving a 25% boost in performance. So to answer your question : Yes they are and if you are planning on buying your first wireless device people will tell you to wait if you want to have the latest and greatest.
I believe as of now from what I saw so far one of the faster MIMO routers out right now is the rangemax 240. I saw it at best buy for 179.99 :)
