When is the last time you wrote a check?

I haven't written a check in over three years. I cleaned out my garage last weekend and found a check book. The last check was written in Feb '02.

Does anybody still write checks or do you use the debit card/auto pay/pay on line?

I've had my Wells Fargo account since 2001, and I still have some checks in the booklet of 10 they give you for making an account.. lol

I write one to my wife every month for our mortgage. We keep our checking accounts separate due to work.

On Monday: Wrote checks for my state and federal estimated tax payments.

I write checks all the time. While my T-Mobile and Comcast accounts are billed directly to my AMEX SkyMiles card, I still rely on paper credit card statements, etc. I still balance my checkbook by hand, compare my credit card statements with actual reciepts, and I still regularly write paper checks.

The big companies know that the more people depend on electronic statements, billing, etc., the easier it will get for them to make a $.01 "mistake" in their favor every once in a while. Point is, I don't trust anyone but me with my money.
