He was indeed jehh... he slipped up in posting some pictures. The service he used to host them, he was also signed up under the name jehh..so when someone clicked the link and saw that username, they recognized it, alerted everyone, and the rest is AT history.
He had issues with women. In my conversations with him, he seemed to have the maturity level of a 13-year-old boy, and not in a charming way. In a creepy, "I'm showing off my past trophies" sort of way.
But oh well, Mr. Patriotic/Flirtatious/Creepy guy is gone.
I honestly do not believe grasshooper/jehh/Jason (they are the same person) intended to scam anyone. He just didn't know squat about what he was doing and what it takes to run a business and got himself in a bad spot.
Two years later, he was a contributing (if neffing) member of the forums. But when the link was made to his past, he was banned.
I think a little forgiveness for mistakes 2 years in the past would have been nice, but I'm not a mod, so it wasn't my decision.
I also think his immaturity and constant neffing already had him on the bad side of the mods, which didn't help his situation any.
Sorry. I liked the side of Hopper that I knew, but being a troll/scammer isn't something you come by "accidentally", especially in that capacity. 102 negatives is a little more than "not knowing how to run a business."

Jason didn't know squat about cash flow and it did him in at the end is what my interpretation of events is. I still don't think he was deliberately out to steal, he just didn't know how to run a business. He ended up with customers demanding merchandise and didn't have the cash to go out and buy it from his suppliers.
That's just my guess.

I'm back! After 30 days on AOL today and 15 left on my trial I was dropped, yet again for no reason. AOL is really as bad as we'd all thought. Price aside (you deserve death if you're paying $24/month for dialup) the AOL software is unstable and sucks donkey nuts. So I'm using the 30 day trial at bigzoo now and if it's good for me I'll stick with it at under $10/month
Now I have to answer all my PMs!
I was using Millennium's dialup account a bit (thanks!) but logging off and on was a hassel because he had only 5 hours/month with it
