When is Newegg coming to Canada?

canadacomputers.com is purdy darn cool. I've ordered from them. Of course, some stuff they didn't have I had to order from shoprbc.com

Those two have overall good prices but newegg has Vantec cables and other crap I'd really like to have (powerful, silent LED case fans etc).
 
Meh, there was talk of it happening around now, but that was a while ago.

I doubt we'll see newegg.ca before next summer.

NCIX.com is decent if you get subscribed to the newsletter (they email you all the sales).
I get most of my stuff from MemoryExpress, a great local store we just got here in Edmonton.
 
meh, only reason i would want newegg in canada is to pricematch it at ncix if it's cheaper...i live like 20mins drive from ncix...

Canada Computers scares me. The one (and only) time I bought ram there, they had the sticks in stacks with elastics in a toolbox behind the counter 😕

I hadn't heard this news before but I'll crap myself when/if newegg finally comes 😀 If for no other reason than the huge selection and the pressure they'll put on other dealers. So long as cross-border shipping isn't too big an issue, it seems like a really logical move because you have another ~30 million people that are at most maybe an extra hundred km farther away.

btw, my profile says I'm in the UK, but I'll be back in Canada next year.
 
I hate to say this, but i can almost guarantee they won't be as awesome as people think.

More than likely, they will set their pricing just below or the same as NCIX.com, since, well, they'll want to make money.

Agreed. It's going to give us another option but it's not going to be the big 'bang' some are hoping for.
 
Well, I wanted to get a case to build another machine. And the only way I can get a good price is if I order from places like canadacomputers or shoprbc because they only charge $10 CDN for shipping regardless of the size of the order.
 
OMG! I just discovered something really cool! NCIX and Anitec.ca both take money orders and ship to postal boxes. That means I can sell my two computers before I move and order computer parts from a public library on the Internet. Then I can send the money orders to complete the orders. Wicked cool. 🙂
 
Dunno about Canada but I know that Newegg is in the process of buying dabs.com which is a major online store in the UK.
