what is your rule of thumb?

and if you're wondering why i'm asking, I know someone who got a monster wedgie. They had major holes in there underwear, and I was like WTF

I'd say I toss a pair once the holes start affecting support; of course by the start of holes/the ratty look I've already relegated the pair of undies to "nasty gym ball sweat undies."

If they can survive a wash/dry, then they're good.

Nah, just kidding; if they're starting to show signs of wear; e.g. the fabric is thinner or the elastic is gone, etc. Then it's time for the underwear to meet the trashcan.

Same rule for socks, btw.

i would think when a white girls panties are all black and smell like shit.

that's the time to change.

The more holes, the more circulation. Besides, nothing is quite as invigorating as having one ball hanging through, draping free while the other rests securely.

If the hole(s) are on the side and small, it still good for a while, if the hole is in the back or front, toss it. Same goes for t-shirts, they tend to get torn up in the wash over time.

Hate it when a expensive dress shirt gets torn in the wash, sometimes i find a hole in the sleeve.

*confused* Underwear wear out? I dunno. Occasionally I notice that my underwear look brand new. Must be my wife throws the old ones out and replaces them with new ones. 🙂

you shouldn't be washing an "expensive dress shirt" in the wash.

Mama told me to always wear clean underwear in case you get rushed to the hospital.

As long as my underwear looks clean when I get it out of the wash, it's good.

P.S. Spent much quality time in the hospital and so far, nobody's ever looked at my underwear. Mama couldn't have been wrong, could she?
