You can stop right there. I already have my dream job. Started 5 years ago right out of college. You are reading me completely wrong - call me a dinosaur all you like - I will continue to shake my head in astonishment and frustration. The next words you're going to throw at me are "forward thinker" or "outside the box" right ?

Again I ask... tabbed browsing = revolutionary ? Maybe for .5% of us. Gimmick. I'm trying hard to think of where TB will go from there... with all this "progress" talk...

There are very, VERY few things in this world that are revolutionary. When thery added power windows to cars, did anyone NEED power windows? No. Did they revolutionize transportation? No. Do people prefer having power windows to not having them? Yes. The same thing can be said about TV remotes, or the twist-off bottle cap, or any of a million ideas that were far from revolutionary, but were still conveneint.

You may not like power windows, and that's fine, but I don't understand your "OMG, WTF is all the big deal about power windows? The car still drives the same! Windows that roll themselves up are so stupid, why do you care about them?" argument.

Overhyped. Overrated. Said it from post 1. Not stupid, not completely useless. I don't know how else to say it anymore and actually, I don't know if anyone has refuted the O words by saying it's not. So I guess I am done.

I know when I first started using it, it took probably a week or two to get in the habit of opening up links in a new tab vs. a new window. Now that I am used to it, it is just second nature to open a link in a new tab. As far as the comment of why there are people with so many tabs open, for me, I do web development. I need 1 tab for my DB interface, and at least 4 others for the pages that I am working on. Plus, between work I like to browse different things on the net, from AT to my favorite car forum. I have 6 tabs of just the pages I browse all day long, then factor in the tabs I need for work, and any other random tab that I need to have open, be it google or something else.

Obviously you didn't like FF, and decided that no matter what, you never will; that is your opinion. I love FF, and that is my opinion. As far as I am concerned, IE is overhyped and overrated, but I do need it from time to time for updating windows or office. That will also change when I migrate to a linux environment, then FF will be the ONLY browser I use.

No, I will jump on the FF bandwagon as soon as Yahoo Companion supports it. You also miss my point after all that...

Could you put your point in plain words, and I will respond to that. Thanks.

There are so many features and extensions to firefox that I use that I could never go back. I got my RSS feeds in the sidebar via Sage. That's how I check all my headlines. I use mouse gestures a ton. Mainly in conjuntion with tabs. People just don't realize how useful they are. I go to a forum and immediately middle click any thread that looks interesting. Mouse over the the first one (up + right mouse gesture), read it, close it (down + right mouse gesture), and the next thread is up.
