Allegedly, there will be a 5.5in iPhone 6 out shortly after the 4.7in iPhone 6 later this fall. If you put stock in those rumors, anyway.

I'm really not looking forward to a 5.5" iphone but, if some of these rumors turn out to be true, then I'll basically be forced to buy the larger model.

Specifically, a higher MP count camera with OIS.

Eh? The rumors I've heard is that there will be both phone and phablet sizes (just like Samsung). Why would you be forced into the large one?

So I had the answer to your question at the bottom of the post I made, soooo...

But only because, in my list of priorities, a better camera would override the screen size.

Now, if Apple doesn't differentiate, especially with OIS as rumored, then I'll go with th smaller version.

Even a 4.7" iPhone will feel like a Phablet because of the huge bezels iPhones have.

You'd like to think they'd do something about that. The LG G3 definitely did a great job showing how small bezels can be. Apple should take note of it.

There is only so much they can do with the home button/fingerprint reader on the front.

This size comparison from Macrumors with a couple of iPhone 6 mockups shows what the bezels might look like when compared to the iPhone 5S and iPads.

They have to get rid of that round button or make it a lot smaller. Its what's holding them back on the bottom the massive top bezel could go now. And I assume they keep it for symmetry

I think they may need it for the way Touch ID works (i.e. it's generating a fingerprint map). There's a chance they could use a smaller area, but it might not be as accurate or be as comfortable. Given how broken Samsung's fingerprint reader is, I don't see Apple rushing to shrink its own sensor.

I hope they never get rid of the physical home button. It's one of my favorite things about the iPhone.

In terms of size, what's the definition of a phablet? I'm guessing it varies from person to person.

When I first got my 5" DNA two years ago, people called it a "phablet", but now 5" is the norm for cell phones.

i think you have to reach note 2/3 sizes now to fit into the "phablet" category

The Note 2 is 5.5". So is the LG G3... But I don't think anyone considers that a "Phablet". (The Note 3 is only .2" larger.)

Yeah, I'm kind of being obtuse... The term "phablet" is ridiculous, imho.

having recently held the G3 and Note 3 side by side the note 3 seems a lot bigger than a .2 difference
I meant screen size... Isn't that what we were talking about, in regards to the definition of a phablet?

Speak for yourself... The g3 is a phablet as far as I'm concerned
