I spent a lot of my youth reading and listening to albums.

Yes, kids.....we used to have these things called vinyl albums and they were far superior to any damn CD!!!

Remember when you'd spend hours listening to the album while checking out the "liner art?" Back then, the COVER the music came in was just as important as the tunes themselves.

For example, Led Zeppelin III's album had that rotating wheel thing...wasn't that cool?

Oh yeah...nothing like buying a new album, taking it home and putting it on the turntable, kicking back in your bean bag chair, and just listening to the music and trying to figure out what in the hell the cover art meant. Then there were the goodies inside with the albums. People come to my house and are amazed that

1. I still have a turntable

2. I have an album collection that the Smithsonian would envy.

I agree. I met them several years ago when I worked backstage security for them. They were really cool guys.
Got to meet the whole band. I will never forget it. Got to talk to Rick and Robin at length. Still have a bunch of custom guitar picks they laid on me.

Live at Budokan is perhaps the best album ever.

I agree. Never got to meet them but have caught them in concert. Very underrated band.

I saw then in Honolulu in '97 . . . pretty UNinpressive unless you were a big fan already.
