When I type FDISK in DOS i get eroor message "NO DRIVES MOUNTED" but it FORMAT`S fine ? ANY ideads chaps ?

got 2 ibm`s
supermicro p3scd camino chipset v. goood mobo wih l8test bios this years actually ;-)

used then for ages no worries but when i goto DOS that happens

You tried booting into Windows with a startup disk?

Can it be that the HDD's are compressed? Or could have overlay software like disk manager and the likes?
