when i try to open a page in IE, Firefox opens it.

I Googled this and nothing (I sux at teh g00gles) if I open IE, any url I type in the bar will cause Firefox to open it.

There are a few sites that work better in IE, but the only way I can access them right now is to set that page as my home page in IE and re-open it. This is weird how do I fix it so I can use IE?

You can set the default browser in Windows 2000 (SP3+) Windows XP (SP1+) and Windows Vista using the "Set Program Access and Defaults" feature (renamed "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults" in Windows Vista). [2]

Thanks, but I know how to set a default browser, as it stands I can't use IE at all. If I open IE and type "anandtech.com" in the URL bar Firefox opens up. There is no way for me to access pages in IE as of right now, this is what I need to fix. I don't want IE to be my default browser but I would however like to be able to use it sometimes

Sounds like the file association for urls is still set to open all urls through Firefox no matter what the default browser is.

Search google with some of those key words, I had to fix this once before when all urls would open up a malware program. I remember it was rather easy to find the right fix out there (the fix being rewriting entries in the registry back to the default values).
