if it's on something like a promise ATA/100 card or one of the ones on your mobo - hook up your hard drive to the regular IDE ports on your Mobo..I had the same problem with Win2k and that solved it.

Ah ok - I remember having this problem when I started using the ATA100 connector on my A7V. I had to put the boot drive back on the standard ATA66 bus, install the Promise driver, and then booted off the ATA100 bus perfectly.

I suspect your problem is similar. If your Abit MB uses a Promise controller or equivalent, install the driver before you attempt booting off of the faster bus..

Yeah, for Win2K, download the proper ATA100 driver and copy it to a floppy...during the Win2k installation, you are prompted for "add on hardware" or something like that. That's when you insert your floppy and ......

anyone know the proper raid driver for the ABIT BX -133?
it uses the highpoint 3.70 raid controller

make sure you hit "s" during the install when it asks for a supplementary storage driver, otherwise it will never ask you
