I'm not sure what's going on. I just reformatted because I was having some weird thing going on from changing versions of norton anti virus from mine to the corpate version from my school. I'm running win xp pro. Now for some reason when I choose turn off, the computer restarts. Any ideas what might be going on? Also, i tried installing SP 2, and it told me it couldn't find atapi.sys in the windows/system32/drivers folder, but the file is there....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your bios and make sure your wake on options are disabled in your power managment screen.

You can turn off the automatic reboot by going to Control Panel -> system -> advanced -> startup and recovery -> remove the check mark by the automatic restart. What this will do will give you a blues screen instead of rebooting, and might give you some indication on what it could be, sometimes will give you a filename.ext (ie nv4_disp.dll .. which would indicate a video card driver problem)

hope that helps some
