Is there more than one core for this specific model?

<*i.e. the Pentium 3 500E and 500 were different as the former was based on the new coppermine core and the latter was based on the old katmai one - even though both clocked at the same speed and at the same FSB*>

I believe there is only one Socket 939 3000+ It is 90nm and 1.8ghz. There is a socket 754 version that is 130nm and 2ghz.
