When Flashing your MB's BIOS . . .

First time i found this . . . flashing my Abit ic7g under WIndows with Abit's automatic flash updater . . .

warning from my mb monitor ALL thru the flash (even though it was supposedly disabled)

Anyone else have this?

Is there any advantage to flashing under DOS? Or is the Win updater fine?

(other than those oddities, the flash seems to have gone fine)

. . . and i wsn't really sure WHERE to post this . . . it is pretty "general".

Wouldn't it make sense that while flashing the BIOS, the voltage readings taken from the BIOS would jump around?

yes it does and i thought of that . . .

however, my MB monitor was DISabled and i wanted my most important question-part answered - is there ANY advantage to flashing under DOS rather than Win?
