When eating a PB&J sandwich, do you prefer to have a certain side up?

When I eat my PB&J sandwiches, I prefer to have the jelly side on top of the peanut butter side. My justification for this is it makes the peanut butter less likely to stick to the roof of my mouth even though it probably has no effect.

Do you have a preference?

This thread is so dumb it actually made me lol...why in the H does it matter?! Some people are so strange. It reminds me of a friend of mine who will never eat the last bite of a sandwich, regardless of how hungry he is. Even if he has two sandwiches, he will not eat the late bit of a sandwich.

LOL

This forum is for off-topic matters. I almost posted this in Highly Technical, but then I realized it wasn't a highly technical question.

Jelly up son, we don't take kindly to other folks round here.

PS this reminds me of the butter side up/down Seuss story.

PPS I prefer you jelly side up upscillion LOL

Jelly down. Why? Gravity. I smear jelly pretty thick and if it's down, less chance of making a mess by having it drip out the sides.

Jelly up for sure as it aids in the prevention of PBRS or Peanut Butter Roof Sydrome.

Don't make me start a thread about hot dogs, buns, and condiments.

Yeah, I don't remember ever eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I just like plain peanut butter sandwiches.

How about grilled peanut butter, banana, and chocolate chip sandwiches instead? 😀

I usually am jelly up, but it's not a law of mine. However, I pretty much must have it on toast, not plain bread, it has to be toast. Nothing beats melty peanut butter.

The hot dog is first slathered with condiments which is then inserted into the warm bun, no?

I prefer contrast in on my hotdogs. Hot dogs grilled/heated/whatever into a steamed bun and then sauces such as ketchup and mustard and then other stuff such as onions on top.

I don't get the onions then sauce people. If an onion cube falls down, its even more likely to leave a stain! Think, people!

Also, who does the two layers of PB with jelly in the middle, thats just asking it to squirt out at you. I prefer jelly up so that the bread helps keep the jelly in the sandwich and gravity has to pull jelly through a layer of PB before starting its soak through the bread into my fingers.

Oh yea, I eat all of my sandwich, but I think maybe he's thinking of it as that last bit is where he's been holding the sandwich and where all the germs from his fingers have congregated?
