Legalize drugs and meth will disappear. If you could buy legal drugs cheaply at a licensed store, the need for making cheap shit in your basement would disappear almost overnight.

What the hell are you talking about? This has nothing to do with this at all.

This law was passed to try to stop or slow down meth production as psudoephedrine HCL is one of the primary ingredients.

What's the first link, sounds like it's related in some way., although the article doesn't cite this directly that I saw.

Doesn't it worry anyone that the authorities can watch mundane purchases so closely as to catch even a little old lady who accidentally exceeds the pseudo ephedrine limit by a measly .6 grams? Not only that, but they thought it was worthwhile to send officers to her house for that minuscule violation. What kind of police state nightmare do they have in Indiana anyway?

About 1.5g or so from I remember (used to talk about meth in ochem many many years ago, I wonder if you could get away with that now).

3grams of pseudoephedrine in pills -> ~2.1g pure pseudoephedrine (70% yield) -> ~1.5g meth (70% yield)
Although at 3g the yields would probably be even lower, extractions work better in bulk
