When driving how many hands do you steer with?

When driving do you use both hands or one.

I like to drive with one hand on the wheel and the other on my leg resting. However, thats in the automatic. Guess this threads only really applies to automatic drivers.

So whats your favorite position?

i drive manual transmission so i drive with one most of the time unless im messing around i drive w/ 2 for more control

Depends on the situation, weeving through traffic = two hands, driving 25 in traffic = one hand, doing 65 in a downpour of rain = two hands (white knuckles too. . . eek), doing 80-85 on any interstate of state highway where traffic is light to nothing, the roads are straight, or with slight curves, weather is perfect, no rain = one hand. Looks like a tie to me, 2 to 2, so I can not vote. Sorry

fast, relatively straight roads, one hand
windy-a$s back roads - 2 hands, except to shift.

I've seen it done. I for one like to use 1 hand most of the time, but i have seen my bro use his knees, and that's on slight curves too.

What about knees.

And I had to laugh when wathcing an interview with a Taxi drivier in NYC. He basically stated that people that drivee with two hands don't know what hteyhell they are doing and that those are the ones he watches out for. He basically said it's a sign of nervousness and indecision and the such. People that drive with one hand are relaxes and know what they are doign and where they are going.
