I almost always drive with one. I dunno, it's just more comfortable. The only time I use two hands is making a u-turn. And if we had smaller cars I wouldn't even use two then. Two hands is overrated.

I drive with two hands on the wheel, and I have a manual.

I take the right hand off the wheel to shift, then it immediately goes back to the wheel once the shift is done.

The only time I drive one-handed is on long highway trips.

Edit: Oh, and if you drive with your knees for any reason whatsoever, you should have your license stripped from you immediately. Only after someone kicks you in the teeth, though.

I drive manual and it varies. I don't consciously use one or the other or both, though I very rarely drive with both and on open roads I sometimes don't use any. In the summer I like to drive with my left hand out the window and use my right to steer and shift, using my knees to steer when shifting.

Both my hands and knees are so used taking control of the wheel that it's pretty natural and unconsious now, when one gets tired the others take over.

One, but sometimes both. Usually, my left hand is leaning against door, resting against the window and mirror controls, but occasionally it helps out with steering.

I drive a manual..on a straightaway/slight curve usually I just have both hands in my lap on the bottom part of the wheel. Around a turn i'll usually just use one hand.

So 1.

I duct tape my pecker to the 9 O'clock position on the steering wheel. If I need to turn right, I look at the picture of rbloedow I keep on my dash. For left turns I keep a cup of ice in the cupholder.

2, unless I'm doing something with my other hand or am driving on an empty, straight road.

Depends on the situation. On the daily grind, 1 hand. In PA construction zones, 2 hands, white knuckles, waiting for the damn busted pavement to try to pull me into a barrier.

One unless I'm in a downtown freeway, in a heavy downpour, or weaving wrecklessly in and out of traffic

I use my knees if at all possible, it frees my hands up to have a coffee and talk on the cell phone while I'm driving.

Surely you can switch CDs and shift gears with the phone and coffee.
